Time Management and Study Skills for Academic Success

This interactive workshop is designed to help postsecondary students develop effective and sustainable study habits that support academic achievement. Whether you’re adjusting to the demands of CEGEP or university or seeking to refine your current strategies, this workshop will provide you with practical tools to enhance time management, focus, retention, and productivity.

Participants will explore evidence-based techniques for organizing their study schedules, setting realistic goals, and preparing efficiently for exams. Special attention will be given to time management strategies, including how to prioritize tasks, break down assignments, and create balanced study routines that reduce stress and prevent burnout. Students will also gain a deeper understanding of their personal learning styles and identify habits that align with their academic and personal goals.

Communication, Collaboration, and Self-Advocacy Skills for Academic and Professional Success

This interactive workshop helps postsecondary students develop the confidence and strategies needed to express themselves clearly, advocate for their needs, work effectively in teams, and navigate group dynamics.

Participants will engage in activities that explore verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, conflict resolution, and collaborative problem-solving. The workshop also addresses how to give and receive constructive feedback, manage diverse perspectives, and build mutual respect in group settings. In addition, students will learn the importance of self-advocacy—how to clearly communicate their needs, assert boundaries, and seek support in academic and professional environments.

Strengthening Attention and Focus for Academic and Professional Successs

In a world filled with distractions, maintaining focus can be a major challenge for both students and professionals. This workshop is designed to help postsecondary learners and individuals in the workforce better understand attention, recognize barriers to concentration, and implement practical strategies to stay engaged during lectures, meetings, tasks, and study sessions.

Through reflection exercises and cognitive tools, participants will explore how attention works, identify personal distractors, and learn techniques such as mindfulness, goal-setting, and active task management to strengthen focus and mental endurance. The workshop will emphasize the role of mindfulness practices as powerful tools to improve concentration, reduce stress, and enhance cognitive clarity in both academic and professional contexts.

“I genuinely doubt I’d have made even 1/4 as much progress if you hadn’t greatly helped me through this journey. Please know that you’ve been an essential part of my (and certainly many students) journey, you’ve helped me figuratively “learn to walk again” do I could go on walks as casually as I do now and soon run, I will remain forever thankful for your support.”
